Season Overview:

The Lima Senior Spartans came into Sunday's tournament draw with a 5-9 record. Saturday, November 26th was the season opener for the Spartans as they traveled to Bowling Green High School for a non-conference matchup. Lima Senior would lose this game by nine (35-26).

The Spartans would kickoff the first week of December with two straight wins, as they defeated Three Rivers Conference (TRAC) opponent Clay on Thursday, December 1st (44-37) and Lima Central Catholic on Saturday, December 3rd (46-43).

Lima Senior rival Findlay would defeat the Lady Spartans 59-25 on Thursday, December 8th, but the girls would bounce back with back=to-back wins over Perry (12/22: W 57-42) and New Knoxville (12/29: W 63-26) to wrap up the month of December.

When the 2022 calendar year flipped to 2023, their was definitely a tough transition for the Lady Spartans. Coming into Sunday's Tournament Draw, Lima Senior has lost 5 of their last six games, with the single victory coming on Saturday, January 21st at Marion Harding 44-41.

The Lady Spartans hope to turn the switch and start picking up victories as they near the start of tournament play.

Sunday's Tournament Draw Selection:

The Lima Senior Girls Basketball team will play the Bowling Green Lady Bobcats on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at Fostoria High School in Sectional Semi-Final action. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 pm.

Come out and support your Lady Spartans!
