Lima Senior HS Welcomes the New Football Coach and Program Coordinator!

Bill Lawrence, a long-time assistant coach at Kenton High School since 2006, is the new head football coach at Lima Senior. During his time at Kenton High School, he was an associate head football coach, offensive coordinator and assistant coach. He was also the school's softball coach. Along with his coaching duties, he will also serve as an intervention specialist at the high school. Lawrence was introduced on Monday at a Lima City Schools board of education meeting. He replaces Alphonso Townsend, who was the Spartans' head coach the last three seasons. Lima Senior HS can't wait for the season to begin with Bill Lawrence!!

Lawrence began his coaching career as the head football coach at Lake Christian Academy in Florida in 1996 after playing wide receiver at Urbana University and graduating from Grand Canyon University. He is the ninth head football coach at Lima Senior since Leonard Rush retired after the 2000 season. Building relationships is also important to Lawrence.
